We currently have a requirement for a full-time electro-mechanical assembler to join the manufacturing team at our facilities in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate have knowledge of conformal coating (the application of acrylic and silicone spray), or be willing to learn!  The working hours will be 9.30 am - 6.00 pm Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under general guidance with limited supervision, the successful candidate will perform conformal coating and other related tasks as assigned;

  • Operate conformal coating machine and inspect results with an ability to communicate and report on key quality, output data and possible improvements to higher level operators or supervisors;

  • Perform masking and demasking processes as needed;
  • Perform additional support to the mechanical assembly department as needed;
  • Observe all safety procedures and precautions.

Job Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;

  • Six months to one year of relevant experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal English;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task;
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures, and proactively participate in the decision-making process;
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a respectful manner and support the manufacturing team;
  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment a plus.

We are looking for two full-time Quality Control Inspectors to join manufacturing operations at our facility in Burnaby BC. Reporting to our Production Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under minimum supervision, perform all Quality Control inspection processes within our printed circuit board assembly facility
  • Follow all manufacturing assembly procedures and instructions, and perform assigned tasks in compliance with quality, workmanship and company standards
  • Work with color coded materials and documentation
  • Perform First Article Inspection for both SMT and PTH circuit board assemblies
  • Perform SMT In-Process and PTH In-Process Inspection
  • Perform Post Mechanical Assembly and Final Assembly Inspection
  • Other related duties as required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under constant to occasional guidance, performs precision assembly tasks from simple to difficult in complexity on Printed Circuit Board, Harness, or other Electro-Mechanical Assemblies following detailed assembly procedures.
  • The incumbent should posses a very strong hand soldering skills of both SMT and PTH.
  • Follows manufacturing assembly procedures and instructions, and performs assigned tasks in compliance with quality, workmanship and company standards.
  • Uses tools or operates power driven equipment to drill, rivet, crimp and connect wires.
  • Works with color coded materials and documentation.
  • Performs washing, and cleaning of electronic components and Printed Circuit Boards.
  • Performs soldering/de-soldering operations.
  • Performs SMT and PTH Touch-Up Processes.
  • Performs PTH stuffing in Line.
  • Performs component preparation, component making and labeling using component preparing equipment.
  • Performs masking and unmasking for conformal coating and wave soldering processes.
  • Reports problems/issues and rejections to higher levels assembler or supervisor for correction.
  • Observes safety precautions.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Job Skills:

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
  • Must have strong Printed Circuit Board assembly skills (SMT and PTH) with very precise and fine soldering skill and experience.
  • Equivalent or above Grade 10 of Secondary School.
  • Should have good attention to detail and good hand and eye coordination.
  • Knowledge of color codes, electronic component identification and IPC-A-610 standards are a definite asset.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures.
  • Willing to proactively participate in the decision making process.

  • Follow moderately detailed assembly procedures and instructions while performing assigned tasks in compliance with quality workmanship and company standards.
  • Use tools or operate power driven equipment to drill, rivet, insert parts or components, cut and shape components, crimp, connect wires, wire wrap, perform wiring and prepare wires. Wires may include shielded wires, and solder sleeve assemblies, and tasks may include strip, tin, twist and wire identification by tagging.
  • Operate Go / No go test equipment.
  • Work with colour coded materials.
  • Perform washing, degreasing, masking, spraying preparation, unmasking and touch-up operations for conformal coating or other applications.
  • Install or assemble plates, gaskets, grommets, heatsinks, components, sub-assemblies, etc. using fasteners and/or adhesives.
  • Perform basic soldering operations, part making, lacing, and making cable assemblies or wire harnesses.
  • Operate vacuum chambers, ovens, scales, caulking guns, etc.
  • Mix adhesives, chemical solutions, potting and coating compounds in required precise proportions; clean and maintain containers, applicators and spray equipment in good working order.
  •  Operate wave solder and lead-trimming equipment.
  • Report problems and rejections of first-off product to higher level operators or supervisors for correction.
  • Observe all safety procedures and precautions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
